Sierra and quickbooks for mac

This morning (one week late) Intuit sent out an email announcing that all their customers have to update to Quickbooks for Mac 2016 to use Sierra. Now Quickbooks Desktop for Mac 2015 will no longer function. I installed it yesterday on our nonprofit's computer. Updating to the latest Mac OS 10.12 Sierra breaks this software! Apple released this update on September 20.
